Book Blogger Holiday Swap!

December 10, 2009

This was the first year that I have participated in the book blogger holiday swap. I had considered it last year but with both of us just going back to work a month before Christmas and having to get ourselves set up for Christmas celebrations (between the two of us we had maybe 3 Christmas ornaments and nothing to cook a turkey in or serve it on) I opted not to. But I was happy to sign up this year.

There were a few wrinkles, as there always is with any new project, but when I hit a minor stumbling block the organizers were quick to do what they could to help me. Thank you organizers! I appreciate the hard work you’ve done on this.

I got my package on Monday but it’s been so busy this week that this is the first chance I’ve had to write about it!

Book Blogger Holiday Swap Goodies!

(I apologize for the fuzzy photo. I couldn’t find the actual camera and used the one on my iPhone.

On the far left is a little day planner. I love this. Perfect size to fit in your bag!

A pretty card!

The white item on top of the book is a magnetic bookmark. My favourite kind!

And the book itself is The Red Leather Diary by Lily Koppel. It’s been on my wishlist for eons because my library did have it. They actually recently got it an e-book but who can resist that cover? Not me, that’s for sure.

And it was all thanks to Karen, who blogs at BookBath. Yes, all these goodies came from Australia! Too cool! Thank you Karen!

The planner is lovely. There’s a section at the back where you can keep track of movies/book/websites etc too. Very handy.
