This sounds like a fun read. It is amazing how things like food (what you eat, when you eat it) can really be a pivotal factor in the success or failure of a relationship but it sure is!

It’s a fun book but I’ll freely admit that I read it because of the cover. I’m a complete sucker for a good cover, especially when it comes to food-lit.

I wouldn’t say it wasn’t about marriage. It’s very much about their first year of living together, and it is the year leading up to their marriage. I just thought, based on the way the book started and how we hear much about the wedding plans we’d actually get to the wedding. But the book stops a couple of weeks before the wedding. It was a bit of a let-down because it felt like it was building up to that being the climax of the book and then it just ended.

I LOVE the cover! It’s lovely and it does look like birds. I agree the title is very misleading, though, if there is nothing about marriage actually in the book!

I think it’s the season. Spring and summer scream food-lit at me. Which reminds me…I wonder if I ever went back and labelled all the food-lit posts… I only created the category about a year ago (despite the fact hat I’ve been reading it for years).
